Which of these training methods is best for muscle mass growth?

In a given workout session, which of these training methods is best for muscle mass growth? Method A: 2 sets with a heavy load (low reps) + 2 sets with a light load (high reps) Method B: 4 sets with a heavy load (low reps) I do three workout sessions a week. I have used method B for years but I feel like I am neglecting part of the muscle (slow twitch muscle fibers) and therefore am not developing the muscle fully, especially when it comes to stamina. I recently did some light construction work around the house and felt exhausted, out of stamina, but had no problem with lifting heavy furniture and construction material. I assume method A is best. FYI, I am natural and have always been. I would prefer to hear from people who have tried both methods and can say which one is better: heavy weights only or a mix of heavy and light.
