Upper body twice a week and lower just once?

I am trying to find a good routine that would fit my busy school/work schedule. I really like U-L-REST-U-L-REST-REST but it’s a little too much for me. I am now doing U-REST-L-REST-U-REST-REST so it’s upper body twice and lower body once a week. Alternating 3-day u/L split makes me uncomfortable since I feel like I am wasting too much time resting between upper body workouts. It takes less time for my upper body to recover compared to legs. Is this a good idea? I would appreciate any ideas. ​ Sorry for any grammar mistakes.
