Newbie with some quick questions about weight limits…

Hey all, so I’ve just started weight training, I’ve always been a big guy with decent strength but I’ve quickly found my weak points (chest and shoulders) but I’m a bit confused in regards to the weights I should be lifting, I’ve very quickly been able to increase my weights while keeping my same routine (3 set, 10 reps), I’m talking 10kg (22lbs) jumps per week, I get that this is newbie gains and my body getting use to lifting but where it gets confusing is when I watch people on youtube. I keep seeing these ripped dudes lifting weights I’m already able to lift. Are they simply lifting light stuff for their videos? Seems a bit odd, one guy is using a set of 22kg (50lbs) dumbbells as his normal weight. Which I think is pretty light considering I’m already past that. The guy isn’t huge by any means but he is much better built then me. Am I missing something, is it more about reps then weight? What’s normal weights to lift for dumbbells (only using dumbbells at the moment). Any clarity will be much appreciated 😀
