MyFitnessPal plan good and will it make me lose muscle?

So currently I am 15 years old and I started going to the gym everyday for a bout 1 month and a half. I have seen pretty good results but I have always been on the chubby side. (Man boobs, stomach, etc). Anyways, I want to lower my body fat % and I started using MyFitnessPal to go on a calorie deficit. I am 5’9, 162 LBS, and I want to lose around 5-10 pounds. MyFitnessPal made me a plan and it was around 1930 calories not counting adding in excersize. This will be estimated to lose around 1 pound per week. I am just wondering if this is a good amount and will it make me lose a lot of muscle? How can I retain muscle while still on a calorie deficit?
