Is it possible to go up a size if I lift and dedicate to being in shape?

I am 6ft @145 lbs. I am skinny, and would like to gain weight my lifting. My goal is to go to a medium to a large (Mens USA). Is this achieveable, provided I dedicate myself to lifting? I do not expect overnight results, and understand this will take time, but I assume it will happen, yeah?
