For years I have not achieve results in the gym, so I am considering trying another way

One of my goals for more years that I want admit has been get in great shape. Im not a mess but I have a few extra Stones. I like running and I do Jiu Jitsu, but its not enough to get me in shape. So for years I have been trying to go to the gym to get the physique I want but honestly I just can´t stick to It. I think I just dont like It. Thats why I thought that maybe instead of going to the gym I should try different sports like swimming, climbing, surfing, tennis… How do you see It? Do you think It is a good idea? What sports can you think of that I can try? I really want to achieve this goal, but the way I have tried so far has not worked for me at all. ​ Edit: Thx for your answers but Im not talking about diet. Im talking about adherence to sport.
