Difficulty putting muscle on, test level tested 2 years ago and within last month. Options other than trt?

I wanna preface this with I’ve worked a physical job as a mover for the last 10 years on and off. Until this last year my gym sessions were very sporadic and few and far apart from just working a demanding job. A couple years ago when I was 30, I’d been having low libido and difficulty maintaining erection for awhile. Went in to my local physician and they did a testosterone test, came out to 190 ng/dL. He said it was a bit low but didn’t wanna do anything at the time and to come back if keep experiencing issues. I hate going in for appointments so just never bothered again until this last month. I’m 32 now, it’s gone up slightly, but still seems lower end, 283 ng/dL. This last year I’ve been trying to be as consistent as I can with going into the gym and very determined to build up a better physique, progress has seem to been lacking a bit which led me to go back in for an appointment. Is TRT realistically the only thing that’s going to help with what my levels have been at? I know not to expect a huge change in a year, but at the back of my mind since 2 years ago I’ve always been wondering how my low test level has been holding me back if any and playing on my mind.
