Did Arnold Actually do Clean and Press for Reps for his Shoulders?

I read his encyclopedia for bodybuilding and keep seeing that his workouts involved clean and presses for reps. He also says he mainly trained in the 8-12 rep range. I feel like the CNS fatigue from cleaning in between every rep would impact your shoulder training and mess with the time under tension. I can press 145×8 normally, but when I C&P it’s hard to 5 or 6 continuously. It doesn’t really seem that effective. I am wondering if he meant that you just clean it on the first rep, and then bang out military presses. But if that were the case I feel like he would have explicitly said this. I have also never seen a video of him C&Ping at all, nevermind doing 10 reps in a row. It’s a great exercise and I love doing it, but I feel like you aren’t really targeting the shoulders hard enough with it.
