Could you swap PPL to a 48 hour reset

So my friend and I were having a discussion about this. We are basically arguing if in the long run it is sustainiable and possible to just do push pull every day and forget legs. (lets forget the fact that everyone should be training legs) Would this routine work more efficently than PPLPPLR for your top half or would you burn out from not enough rest. If it does work why not do this for max gains? Day 1: 1: Push legs 2: Pull 3: Push legs 4: Pull 5: Push Legs 6: Pull Rest
